The BonFyre

The Queen loves nothing more than getting people hip to new artist aka Saturday’s Song Selection. This beautiful, talented artist named The Bonfyre.

She is actually an artist of the industry legend L.A. Reid & Raphael Saadiq discovered her, so I know she’s in good hands and he even co-manages her as well. She caught the attention of Saadiq a few years ago, and he helped hone her style of soulfulness.

The Bonfyre is from a small town called Chicopee, Boston. For some reason, Boston singers got soul (coughs) Jojo. Moving along, she moved to Atlanta to pursue music, and she got the name Bonfyre from people asking her what she wanted her music to sound like and how they would touch people. She instantly would think of a bonfire, and she loves the vibes, she loves that people are coming together, vibing out, and relaxing.

The Bonfyre explained the reason behind her name. When first asked about how she’d like her music to sound, she described it like friends around a bonfire, where there’s always “good times, good energy, good vibes.” It makes a lot of sense, really, and The Bonfyre has a come-up story that makes for perfect inspiration.

The Bonfyre has released an EP called Ready To Love, back in August. The EP is about being heartbroken and in love all at the same time. She feels like no one ever talks about this happening at the same time, and giiiiirl I can relate. However, she has a voice of a goddess, and she has so much soul to the point you are like damn girl is that you singing for real? I enjoy an artist who is authentic and are comfortable with their sound. Throughout each of the songs on her EP, you can tell she really wears her heart and emotions on her sleeve. Anyways, I am going to let you check her music and let it speak for itself.
